The documentary film shows the story of a largely unknown genocide. In 1915 2.5 to 3 million Christians were killed by the Ottoman Empire in the most brutal way. The film tells the story of this massacre using contemporary witnesses and builds a bridge to the present. For the genocide of 1915 continues tragically in the current wars and conflicts and continues unabated.<\/p>

Bei dem Dokumentarfilm „To be we want to be“ geht es um die m\u00e4nnliche Prostitution (M\u00e4nner f\u00fcr M\u00e4nner).\u00a0 Obwohl m\u00e4nnliche Prostitution in der Schweiz legal ist, werden M\u00e4nner, die sich f\u00fcr andere M\u00e4nner prostituieren, besonders stark von der Gesellschaft ausgegrenzt. Da sowohl Prostituierte als auch Homosexuelle von der Gesellschaft diskriminiert\u00a0werden, sind die m\u00e4nnlichen Prostituierten dadurch gleich doppelt betroffen. Die m\u00e4nnliche Prostitution ist somit ein Tabu und liegt im Verborgenen, obwohl ihre Geschichte genauso alt ist wie die der weiblichen Prostitution. Anhand von vier einf\u00fchlsam dargestellten Protagonisten, die kein homogenes Publikum sind, zeigt uns die Regisseurin Aida Schl\u00e4pfer in dem Dokumentarfilm „to be we also want to be“ den Alltag m\u00e4nnlicher Prostituierter in der Schweiz und ihren Umgang mit der Komplexit\u00e4t ihrer Lebenssituation. \u00a0 Diese Collage, bestehend aus dem politisch aktiven Strichjungen Benjamin, dem kubanischen Emigranten und Luxus-Callboy Alexo, der transsexuellen Sonja und dem auf bizarre Spiele spezialisierten Latex-Transvestiten Leila, offenbart die in vielerlei Hinsicht ausgepr\u00e4gte Herkunft, Motivation und sexuelle Orientierung des Mannes \/ der m\u00e4nnlichen Prostituierten in der Schweiz. \u00a0 Durch Interviews und Ausschnitte aus dem Alltag der Protagonisten erhalten die Zuschauerinnen und Zuschauer einen Einblick in das Leben der vier Prostituierten und ihre beruflichen Probleme. Themen wie Emotionen und Ausgrenzung, finanzielle Sicherheit, Lebensperspektiven und Berufsaus\u00fcbung sowie erg\u00e4nzende Themen wie Migration und Coming-Out als Prostituierte oder Homosexuelle werden in diesem Film ebenso gezeigt wie alle Aspekte dieses Berufes und brechen definitiv mit herrschenden Banalit\u00e4ten. \u00a0 Durch einen Rechtsvertreter und einen Vertreter der Religion wird das Thema zus\u00e4tzlich von verschiedenen Seiten beleuchtet und die aktuelle rechtliche und soziale Situation von Sexarbeitern verdeutlicht. \u00a0 Ohne ideologische Zw\u00e4nge erforscht die Regisseurin in diesem Film vor allem die empfindsamen menschlichen \u00c4u\u00dferungen der Protagonisten und beleuchtet alle Facetten ihres Lebens.
